3 versus 2: March 2010

Ok so I noticed I've only been writing 1 post a month and I couldn't let this month go by without one so here it goes......

My brothers, s-i-l and mother are finally only 8 minutes away. It's been a month and it's been a pretty busy one. For a full week our 1 master bedroom and 1 loft condo turned into a living space for 6 fully grown adults and 2 little girls with adult attitudes. We had to pull out the inflatable queen size bed for the "Bralison" and the couch became Andres' sleeping quarters, until he couldn't handle his scoliosis any longer and begged for an inflatable bed, which he then slept on for 2 or 3 nights because he would forget to get it out of the room before the girls went to sleep and for the "meemaw" aka "mom" she slept in a twin size bed with crazy sleeper Velani. I think Mia was probably the only one who slept perfectly fine. Oh and did I mention they all slept in the same room?

Ok so after a week the Bralisons got their condo and we helped a little with painting and..... I think that's all we helped with. They did everything else and their condo looks wonderful now!

*Changing the subject*

I have to brag a little now......... I planted a small garden all by myself today and am so proud. Hopefully everything I planted lives as long as it's suppose to live. I planted tomatoes, yellow squash or is it zucchini? I'll let you know later, red onions, Japanese cucumbers, and garlic just f.y.i and I'm still hoping to buy some jalapenos, tomatillos, cilantro and some type of fruit. I'll have to take some pics soon and post them.

Furthermore...

My girls have been crazy about having mom so close and I think Velani still can't believe it's true because she cries almost every time she has to leave. I remember the times my grandma use to go to Mexico and I would cry..... oh the love of a granddaughter towards her grandmother I understand my baby, but every time, really? she's obsessed with mom.

Alright so I guess that's all I can think of for now and hopefully I get back on track.

*OH NEVERMIND THERE'S STILL MORE*

So I have to let you know a few more things. Mia is now saying more words, but I'm not liking the fact that she knows more english words than spanish, but I have to not thank Velani for that since she's the one who is talking more english than spanish now. Daddy isn't gonna let her get away with it though.

So some of the words she's saying are:

mo (more)

no shush it (don't touch it) most of the time she's referring to her hair or herself when Andres is messing with her

leshe (milk) yay one of the few words in spanish

top it (stop it)

nana (banana)

nite nite (goodnight)

and I could go on, but I don't want to anymore.
