I am sooo tired right now, I don't know where to begin.
I mean, it was only a 4 hr trip going to Salt Lake City and 4 hrs coming back, what's the big deal?
Well, Velani and Mia, of course!
I thought it would be a good idea if we accompanied Jahvel to his doctors appointment and got out of the house again. Well, didn't I have enough traveling 2 weeks ago when the whole gang was here? guess not! I'm beginning to realize that due to a lack of a good and long night's rest, I can make really bad choices.
We left our house around 8:30 am. We did pretty good on our way to SLC. Velani was reading and coloring on some books and Mia was sleeping, like always. Hmmm, I thought, this isn't so bad. I THOUGHT too soon. About an hour before getting to our destination, both girls started getting fussy and cranky. I tried to keep them entertained by acting really silly! We finally arrived and went to eat, oh but before that, little miss Velani didn't like to see Mia in what used to be HER stroller and well, we had a melt-down. We had to carry Mia and let Velani ride on the stroller.
We went to the appointment and during that time Mia decided it was time for HER melt-down and then Velani again. Duh! it's nap time and they're both tired and can't fall asleep alone in a doctors office. How come I didn't think of that? We really thought the appointment would last an hour at the most, but noooooo, it was more like 2.5 hours. Oh and don't get me started on the 4 hour drive back home (they eventually fell asleep), but it did take us about another hour to get them in bed when we finally got home. I am also omitting many other small details, by the way.
So yeah! it will be a trip to remember, not a real pleasant one, but ohhh remembered. Jahvel and I have both agreed he can go alone to his next appointment and we are soooooo looking forward and preparing ourselves both mentally and emotionally for our 20 HOUR drive this summer!!!
