This daughter of mine is made up of both parents. Just like her name is part mommy and part daddy, her personality reflects both of us, as well.
Vel (from jahVEL) ani (from stefANI)
I have noticed that this girl doesn't know how to speak in a soft, low, quiet, or whisper voice. She is just plain loud like her daddy and like grand"mom" too! I just had to say it.
I work as an interpreter from home and when the phone rings I tell her to speak quietly while I'm on the phone, but she doesn't. It's not that she doesn't want to, but she just doesn't know how to. I show her how to whisper and she starts off great and slowly gets loud. It's in her genes.
I know this isn't a good trait, but Velani is bossy and likes to yell. I'm not bragging at all either, but she gets that from me. While I'm on the phone interpreting and she is being loud, she is also being bossy telling Mia what to do and sometimes even yelling at her. My little drama queen is just full of mommy and daddy. She has other traits as well and I'm sure she didn't get it from me or daddy, but she is special and unique and I just love how much she knows, how funny and silly she can be at times and how active and talkative she is.
Velani just makes my day when she says or does things that reflect a little bit of me or a little bit of her daddy. Gotta love this girl, I tell ya!
