Friday the 13th

I know, I know, today is the 16th. By the way it's my brother's birthday so Happy Birthday Braulio!!

Ok so let's continue....

So Friday the 13th is known for what? an unlucky day right? I am not superstitious at all, but this is how the day started for my "chunky" Mia....

I decided to clean up my daughters' room and reorganize it. While I was doing that, the girls were playing with their toys. I turned around for a few seconds and then heard a thump followed by Mia crying. I immediately looked up and saw her under the toy storage bins which had fallen on top of her. I took her in my arms and calmed her. She wasn't hurt!! So she was back to her bubbly self in no time and wanted to keep playing, so down she went. I continued with the cleaning and organizing and a few minutes later I hear her crying again and this time Velani's chalkboard easel fell on her. Velani had been playing with it and left it on top of the rocking chair and Mia was being curious, again! Back in mommy's arms she went. She received more hugs and kisses until she felt better again. I had no idea all these accidents could happen in what I thought was a "safe" room, but I guess nothing is that "safe" when there is a 7 month old who is curious about everything and is crawling and pulling herself up on anything she thinks is "sturdy" (ex.toy bin, rocking chair) So.... you think it ends here well, it doesn't. A few minutes later she pulled herself up on Velani's bed and her little legs couldn't stay still and down she went bumping herself on it and you guessed it.....she cried some more.

I'm sorry my poor Mia, you started your morning on a bad note, I thought. So when I told my mom about everything that had happened to her littlest grand baby that's when she reminded me that it was Friday the 13th. OH! ok so now it make sense! It's not Mia's fault nor mine, it was just an unlucky day!

Note: The rest of the day went really well for Mia and for the rest of us too.
