all about Mia

I am blogging about Mia today.

My little "dangerous" one, like we like to call her, is such a sweet little girl (not quite little anymore). She is very feisty, loving (when she really wants to be), active, she's a milk-a-holic, she's a fast learner, funny, squeezable, short tempered, hitter, pincher (she's not all fun and games you know) and the list really can go on and on. I can't believe this little girl has really kept me on my feet more than Velani has. I mean when she was kicking and doing somersaults in the womb I thought she was just bluffing, but boy was I wrong! I keep postponing having more kids because of her.....REALLY! but man do I love her. I can't imagine my life without her. I think I'd really go crazy if she wasn't around to make all the noise she does. I know I'm not as patient or nice as I was when I had Velani, but it's normal right? I mean having 2 kids isn't easy so I guess it's a life changing process a mother goes through it's not only her body that changes, but I really do pray and hope I loosen up a bit. Thank goodness for nights and the ability to sleep (my sympathies for those who suffer of insomnia and any other sleeping disorder) because without it I'd really be a crazy woman I mean I just can't imagine what life would be without it.

So anyways I have a funny story to tell about this "dangerous" one. Did I mention she's brave and is a true Mexican? Since she was a little over a year old she started eating hot cheetos and some other spicy things, but like Velani, I thought she would stop. Well, she took me to the pantry and asked for a snack. I gave her some Dora fruit snacks (I know they're candy, but it says they are made from real fruit) anyways she came back and wanted something else.....more candy, but I said no. I offered her some crackers, but she refused. So then I saw a small bag of Fritos and gave them to her. She immediately took them and started pointing up at something saying hmhmhm (oh yeah like I should know what that means) "no te entiendo Mia" and then started saying "paca, paca, paca" Ok now I know what she's talking about, but you don't.

Ok so if you look up the word "Paca" in the Mia dictionary it says:
Paca (PEE - KAH) adj. Spicy. Something that makes your tongue burn. Warning: Not to be given to small children unless they are true Mexicans and/or they throw tantrums.

So there you have it. She's a true Mexican because she asked for it. She wanted some Valentina sauce on her chips. So I gave it to her. She was happy with her chips and "paca" on them. She has seen a lot of us do it and she doesn't want to be excluded. Isn't she brave? and funny?

Oh how I love my sweet Mia.

I am one lucky mommy.

Hey lucky woman, make sure child protective services don't know you're giving the little dangerous one paca on her chips. LOL But I do have to agree with you that she is one very smart little girl, takes after her BIG sister.
