I am so happy that little Kirra Skye finally came into our lives. I can only imagine what the new parents are feeling. It is so wonderful to become a parent and have kids! ( I really mean that) I couldn't imagine how much they would change our lives as soon as they were born. I would and still always pray that I can be a better mother. It's such a huge responsibility and a growing and learning experience that never stops.
I see Alison and Braulio so happy for their little girl and it just brings back all those memories of when both Velani and Mia were born and how I didn't want them growing up and just staying like that forever. That feeling you get when they place that baby in your arms for the first time is just so GREAT! I felt so close to my Heavenly Father because I knew that my babies were with him before being sent here and I knew that it was my responsibility to care for and love them. We, as mothers, have "an Eternal partnership with God" and this is something unique and special that only us as women have and that's where that closeness that I felt came from, me knowing how special I am for being a woman and a mother.
I now love that my girls grew up and are still growing because it's the special things they say and do that makes my love grow for them each and every day. I just think time is going by so fast and that it needs to slow down just a bit so I can have time to accept that they won't stay kids forever. I love being a mom and I'm gonna say it now.....I want to have lots of children as many as I can. I really don't mind that they drive me nuts or make me mad here and there because I still love them and they still make me happier than they do mad.
I just know that I am happy to be a woman!!
Here's a video about mothers that I just wanted to share by Jeffrey R. Holland that I really loved. Just click on the link and it should start up or copy and paste on the bar. Hope you like it!
