Three of the guys are from Idaho and because they were "recruited" from there they get to go to Idaho, it's part of the "deal". Jahvel had applied for a position there way before any of them got accepted, but like I said it was part of the deal and that's ok because there was still one opening left and this is where it gets unfair. He found out that the fourth guy was counted as being from Idaho, which he isn't, and they gave him the 4th position. Jahvel and the other 3 guys are pretty upset because first of all they're all good friends, they're the ones that go to church with us and because Jahvel should, rightfully, get that position since he did apply before anyone else. There is still time to get everything settled, but they won't take the rotation away from the 4th guy, it just wouldn't be "right". So Jahvel's 3 friends are going to Idaho for the winter break and will all try to go to hospitals around the area to talk to them and see if they can get another rotation site open for Jahvel. We are not giving up quite yet and won't lose faith or hope.
Things around here have been pretty exciting and chaotic. It seems like my girls are always fighting and that stresses me out a lot, but I guess it would happen sooner than later. Adan is huge yet cuddly! He is just growing uncontrollably. I have been crocheting some beanie hats for the winter and that has really kept me busy. That reminds me of a little incident and how crocheting has it's consequences. When not looking, Mia sat on Adan and pretended he was a horse using his hands as reigns, while he was on tummy time! I literally looked away for no more than 5 seconds. That has always been Mia so it shouldn't have surprised me at all, but I won't say anymore because it makes me feel mad and sad all over again. Velani is still loving school. She's had picture day, a book fair, farm field trip, danced for an assembly, fall/Halloween party with goodies and games and has learned how to read. She is having too much fun in school and I love it! Jahvel is doing good in school. He isn't a straight A student, but he's passed all of his exams and I give him credit for that. He studies all the time and only gets to be home for about 3 hours each day during the week, which I don't like, but I have to keep reminding myself that it's only 2 years and it will be worth it at the end.
Yesterday we went trick or treating and it was fun. Velani chose to be a witch, Mia wanted to be a princess so we chose snow white and Adan was a mummy. We were out for about 45 min. and went down just one street and that was enough for the girls. They got about 3/4 of their buckets full and were as happy as could be. Velani didn't start off right at first. She was a little grumpy and didn't want to say "trick or treat" or "thank you" and was just in a bad mood. After a while and seeing how happy and excited Mia was, and a little bit of a scolding from me, she changed her attitude.
I must admit that I'm getting used to it here. I'm not saying I like it because I really don't, but being home with my kiddos and finding a new hobby has helped. Winter is approaching and I better stock up on yarn and other fun crafting supplies.
