Baby speaks!

Have you guys ever heard a 4 month old speak her mind? Well I have and she had a lot to say about yesterday.

It all started with her older sister saying:

Velani: "Mami, vamos al dotor?"

Mami: "Si, baby Mia tiene que ir al doctor para que la chequen."

Velani: "Oh! okay."

Mia: "Hmmm, doctor? okay that sounds like fun. I mean they did dress me up all cute and stuff, with a nice, warm hat. I bet the doctor's place is a nice place.

Velani:"Mia, vas a ir al dotor y te van a pitar (picar)." (short pause) "Ha Ha!"

Mia: "A pitar? hmmm it's gonna be fun I guess."

Mami: "Velani, no te rias de Mia porque la van a picar."

Papi: "Tambien van a picar a Velani."

Velani: "NO PAPI! VAN A PICAR A MIA, NO VELANI."

(fought back and forth with papi for a little)

Mami: "Ok pero entonces no te rias de Mia."

Velani: "Ok mami."

20 minutes later the doctor told Velani that her little sister was gonna be needing lots of hugs and kisses. Velani got right on it.

Mia: "Hey, I wonder why they took off my pretty clothes and left me all naked and cold? wow everybody is so nice to me even Velani she is kissing me a lot."

10 minutes later..............

Mia: crying"Why? why? what did I do? Why would they poke my chubby little legs like that? they were being nice just a few minutes ago. What did I do to deserve this? and now they hug me and kiss me again after letting some woman do this to me. Well, this isn't gonna stay like this. I am not gonna laugh or smile or play with them for a couple of days, I'll make them miss the old Mia, they are gonna have to beg me to be my bubbly self again."

Well, we did and we are still trying to get her to be happy again. We do get a smile once in a while, but she is not up for playing like she used to. We learned our lesson. Just be honest to baby Mia, let her know a doctor's visit isn't all that pleasant, but that we still love her and that going to the doctor is only to make sure she is eating, growing and playing well and to keep her from getting sick.

Velani, well she didn't make fun of Mia again, although she did laugh a little when Mia started to cry. Little does she know that her vaccination years are not over. She didn't get any shots this time, but in about 5 months well, we'll see how she handles it. Laugh it up little missy, laugh it up.

Jahvel, that's another story that will have to wait until tomorrow.

Stefani, she is just trying to handle all this drama.
