Energy saving tip!

So we all know that we have to start saving energy and taking care of our planet, since it's the only one we have, right!?

Alright so we should start from home and how can we save energy? Well, this is the way we do it:

Velani. Yes, you read it right, Velani, she does it for us. I have to admit we are teaching her some good habits. Jahvel and I are very picky about leaving lights on, it just gets on our nerves to see lights on, especially if we aren't in that room, so we will go and turn it off. Alright so we do ask Velani time to time to turn off the light if we are just too lazy to do it ourselves and she is a sweetheart and will obey. So now we don't even have to ask her anymore she does it herself, it's a habit I guess. The funny thing is she won't just save us energy she will save the family whose home she is in, at least the couple of hours she is at that specific home.

Here is an example of a time she saved a family a few bucks while we were at their home. We had been invited to this family's home for a birthday dinner. While we were eating, Velani and her little friend were dancing in the living room, having a fun time together. Many lights were on during our short visit and Velani had noticed that, I'm sure. While they were dancing and Jahvel was recording, we noticed she just couldn't take it any longer, she disappeared into a hall for a couple of seconds and we wondered why she had left and then we realized that she went to the restroom that was in that hall and turned off the light!! She came back out into the living room like nothing, dancing, and having fun once again. We couldn't help, but laugh. We have it on video and will eventually download it so you can take a good laugh yourself. I don't think anyone else noticed the good deed, but I'm sure they would have appreciated it.

So the energy saving tip is to have a toddler do it for you. I guess I'm doing a good job with this little Drama Queen after all. Okay so I only mentioned one saving tip and I don't know if it's a good one for you, at least for us it is and it works, but hopefully it shows that these toddlers are just too funny and that they do learn from other people. So watch what you do and say in front of them because they are paying attention. I have many stories that prove this and will share in future blogs.

Well, I didn't want you to be disappointed because I didn't give you more energy saving tips so I looked for a website that does and here it is if you are really in need of saving some bucks!
