I have been spending time on my blog, can you tell?
I wanted to make it prettier and well, I still have more work to do on it, but what do you think of it so far?
I am determined to keep this blog up to date. I know I have said that before, but hey I am gonna keep saying it until I do!
Ok so now it's time for a funny moment that occurred a few nights ago. As I have mentioned before (about the 2 and 4 am awakenings) it is hard to keep my girls in the same room because when one wakes up the other will wake up too. So this time it wasn't any different. Mia woke up and here I go all groggy and tired, it's hard to go down those stairs in that situation, but I don't want the other child to wake up so I try to do it fast. I nurse Mia and she falls asleep and now I have to put her in her crib nice and slowly so she won't wake up. I fail! I rock her until once again she falls asleep and again I try to put her in the crib and again she wakes up. I do this several times rocking her longer each time and it just doesn't work sooooo I give up! that's right it has been an hour and it doesn't seem like it will work at all so I just give up. I put her in her crib and hope she will just cry it out a little and fall asleep.
Velani is still sleeping and I figure she won't wake up. I go upstairs and lay down while Mia is crying it out. A few seconds after I lay down I hear the door open. "Oh no, here we go!" I say to Jahvel who is now awake.
"Mami! que le hiciste a Mia?" yells Velani "dale boob!" She then went back to bed and fell asleep again and Mia? she is still awake and crying so for Velani's sake, I did exactly what she told me to until finally Mia fell asleep.
Jahvel and I were just cracking up afterwards. Velani is just a hoot! she said the word boob. How does a 2 year old now that word? Well, she learned it from her father, of course. He doesn't say go breastfeed or nurse, he says give her boob and that is how Velani learned it.
So there you have it, another funny story thanks to my daughter. My life is just more fun and sweet with my girls. You just never know what will come out of her mouth next and it's not always fun and games, read previous posts.

About your waking little ones... Do you have a fan on or some other white noise in the girls room? With Josie, she starts off sleeping in her crib (goes down around 9:30) and then around 1 or 2 she wakes up and I just bring her to our bed. I used to get up and go to the living room to feed her and then try to put her back in the crib, she would wake up again, go back to the living room, put her back in the crib (you get the picture). All this while I was a complete zombie and it was miserable for all of us! Don't know how that would work for y'all because of Velani.
Anyways, I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE your new layout!
I don't have any white noise in their room since Mia is more sensitive to noise than Velani. Mia usually goes down around 8:30 and will wake up around 1 and again at 4 or 5 and well sometimes Velani beats her to our bed and so I can't have both of them with us or else Jahvel would be sleeping on the floor! I think we need to upgrade to a King size bed! I am gonna have to suck it up a little longer until I wean her out and then it'll be cold turkey and suffering for everyone!! LOL!
